Finally, karaoke has arrived for preschoolers. This brightly colored microphone from LeapFrog is a fun way to teach kids numbers, letters, and songs. Four songs are available plus one freestyle feature that allows children to make up their own number. Select a setting using the dial on top, and then either listen to the song or record those singing along. It's easy to get the hang of the sing-along feature as a helpful voice guides you through the process. One problem we noticed: you can only play back your recorded singing if you make it all the way through the song. Try to play back a partially finished song and it will ask you to start over. But this is a minor issue, as kids will be thrilled to hear their own vocal recording and will have a great time being a star. --John Moe
